Privacy Policy
What happens to your data when you visit this website, explained in plain language.
Skin Wellness Center is a reading site. We do not run advertising or analytics trackers, we do not ask you to create an account, and we do not sell data to anybody. This policy explains the small amount of data that is nonetheless processed when you visit, and the rights you have over it under the General Data Protection Regulation.
Who is responsible for your data
The data controller for this website is:
Health & Wellbeing Media SL
skin-wellnesscenter.com
info@healthwellbeingmedia.com
Any question about this policy or about your data can be sent to that address.
What data we process
Server log data. Like every website, ours is delivered by a web server that automatically records technical information about each request: your IP address, the date and time, the page requested, the referring page if there is one, and basic browser and operating system information. This happens for every visitor and is necessary for the site to function securely.
Emails you send us. If you write to us, we receive your email address, your message, and anything else you choose to include. We only use it to answer you.
We do not collect health data. Reading an article about a skin condition tells us nothing about you, because we do not track individual reading behaviour.
Why we process it, and on what legal basis
Server log data is processed on the basis of our legitimate interest under Article 6(1)(f) GDPR in delivering the website reliably, keeping it secure, and diagnosing technical faults. We do not use these logs to build a profile of you or to identify individual readers.
Correspondence is processed on the basis of our legitimate interest under Article 6(1)(f) GDPR in responding to enquiries, or on the basis of steps taken at your request under Article 6(1)(b) GDPR where relevant.
Cookies and tracking
This website does not use analytics cookies, advertising cookies, or third party tracking pixels. We do not run Google Analytics, and we do not operate advertising networks or remarketing on this site.
Cookies that may be set are strictly necessary ones placed by the website platform itself, for example to keep the site functioning correctly or to maintain a session for an administrator who is logged in. Strictly necessary cookies do not require consent under the ePrivacy rules.
You can block or delete cookies at any time in your browser settings. Doing so will not prevent you reading this site.
Hosting and who else sees your data
The website is hosted by IONOS, which operates the servers on which the site and its log files are stored. IONOS acts as a processor on our instructions under a data processing agreement, and does not use the data for its own purposes.
We do not share your data with advertisers, data brokers or any other third party. Data may be disclosed to a public authority only where we are legally required to do so.
International transfers
Data processed through this website is stored on servers within the European Economic Area. We do not routinely transfer personal data outside the EEA. If that ever changes, this policy will be updated and the appropriate safeguards under Chapter V of the GDPR will be in place before any transfer takes place.
How long we keep it
Server logs: retained for a short period for security and diagnostic purposes, ordinarily around thirty days, and then deleted or overwritten.
Email correspondence: retained for as long as needed to deal with the matter and for a reasonable period afterwards, ordinarily up to twenty four months, unless we are required to keep it longer.
External links
Articles on this site may link to other websites. Once you follow a link, you are on a site governed by that operator's own privacy policy, and this one no longer applies. We have no control over what other sites collect, so it is worth reading their policy if you are unsure.
Your rights
Under the GDPR you have the right to:
Ask what personal data we hold about you and receive a copy of it.
Have inaccurate data corrected, and incomplete data completed.
Ask us to erase your data where there is no continuing reason for us to hold it.
Ask us to restrict processing while a query about your data is resolved.
Object to processing that we carry out on the basis of legitimate interest.
Receive data you provided to us in a portable format, where that right applies.
To exercise any of these rights, write to info@healthwellbeingmedia.com. We will respond within one month. There is no charge for making a request.
Complaints
If you are unhappy with how we have handled your data, we would like the chance to put it right, so please contact us first. You also have the right to complain directly to a supervisory authority. In Spain this is the Agencia Espanola de Proteccion de Datos (AEPD), and you may alternatively complain to the authority in the EU country where you live or work.
Children
This website is written for an adult audience and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children.
Changes to this policy
If what we do with data changes, for example if we introduce a newsletter, a contact form or analytics, we will update this policy before that change goes live and revise the date shown at the top of the page. Please check back occasionally.
Questions about your data or about this policy can be sent to info@healthwellbeingmedia.com. We read every message.
